The Purpose of Micro Adjustment

Every millimeter matters. The Vanitas was engineered with precision not only in its movement but in how it fits the wrist. The micro-adjustment system built into the strap hardware allows for subtle, incremental changes in length to achieve a perfect fit, whether you’re wearing it over bare skin, a wetsuit, or a field sleeve. Unlike standard clasp systems that rely on preset holes or fixed lengths, a micro-adjustable mechanism gives you full control over comfort and stability. A properly fitted watch doesn’t slide, twist, or leave pressure points, it feels like an extension of your movement.

How to Adjust

Depending on your strap type, micro-adjustment is made through either the clasp or the strap holes. For the Vanitas, the micro-adjustment feature is built into the clasp. To adjust:

  1. If you want to tighten the bracelet, simply push the bracelet into the clasp.

  2. To lengthen the bracelet, locate the adjustment button within the clasp (it says "PUSH" in big ass letters).

  3. Use you finger to "push" the button and slide the clasp to the desired position.

  4. Congratulations

Small changes—a few millimeters—can make a significant difference in balance and comfort.

Why Micro Adjustment Matters

A watch that fits perfectly performs better. During exercise, diving, shooting, climbing, weather, body temperature and movement can cause wrist size to fluctuate. Micro adjustments compensates for those subtle changes, keeping the Vanitas stable without over-tightening or risk of loss. The ability to fine tune the fit also reduces stress on the spring bars, fixed lugs, and case geometry, extending the life of both strap and hardware. It’s a small feature with a large effect: precision in comfort to match precision in timekeeping.

The Arena Approach

True precision doesn’t stop at the movement, it extends to every part of the experience. The Vanitas’ micro-adjustment system was designed for real use, not showroom display. Like every detail of the watch, it exists to serve function first: the perfect balance between security, comfort, and control. Adjusting your watch isn’t vanity, it’s the final act of tuning a tool built to match its wearer.
